WHO ARE WE? Owyhee is a small kennel with high expectations for its breeding program.
We show locally, mostly finish our own champions, and enjoy a number of quality pedigrees amongst our dogs.
I am currently approved to judge 16 working breeds for the AKC.

WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED?  Specialty winners as far back as " Ch. Kajo's Balto Of Hudson View" going WD at the 1980 MIDEAST AREA specialty in Harrisburg, Pa. and ... "Cupsaw Mnt. Lookin Good Tu" going RWD at the 1984 NATIONAL Specialty and WD at the 1985 NATIONAL Specialty and .... "Ch. Owyhee's Wind Beneath My Wings" going WB, and finishing her championship, at the 1996 RAMAPO KC affiliate specialty and .... more recently, "Ch. Totempole Owyhee Ozentatious" taking BOW, and finishing her championship, at the 2003 Ramapo KC affiliate specialty.

Owyhee's Dressed To Kill" was GRAND SWEEPS in 1996 at RAMAPO KC and .... "Ch. Staghorn's Owyhee Stellar Styl" was GRAND SWEEPS in 2001 CT. RIVER WORKING DOG and BOS as a Special in 2002. "Ch. Owyhee's Serafim Fills The Skye" was BEST JR. at the 2001 NY/NJ AREA SPECIALTY and ..."Totempole's Owyhee Ozentatious" was BOS in Sweeps both days in 2002 at CT. RIVER WORKING DOG.

Owyhee Alaskan Malamutes have consistently had the TOP NY/NJ area dogs, bitches and puppies along with BIG 5 point major wins at the HARRISBURG specialty weekend, NEW ENGLAND specialty weekend, and ....

In 2002 from PUPPY class and in 2003 from BRED BY at CT. WORKING DOG, "Ch. Owyhee's Dash O'DooWop" took both 5 point majors.

We try hard without going overboard, and succeed with what we are trying....
